Igbo Youth Consultative Forum (IYCF) Endorses Gov. Hope Uzodima for Second Term, Calls for Political Stability in the South East

In a resounding declaration of support, the Igbo Youth Consultative Forum (IYCF) has thrown its weight behind the re-election bid of Governor Hope Uzodima of Imo State. This endorsement comes as the IYCF undertakes a last-minute mobilization effort aimed at rallying the youth across the local government areas of Imo State in support of Governor Hope Uzodima.

The formal announcement was made in Owerri, following a three-day sensitization campaign that spanned all 27 local government areas of the state. Dr. Stephen Ukpai Ukwa, the National President of IYCF, articulated the compelling reasons for this endorsement, emphasizing the critical role it plays in achieving political stability and development in the South-East region of Nigeria.

Dr. Ukpai stated that Governor Hope Uzodima possesses the will and determination to consolidate Igbo interests and effectively represent them to the national leadership, including President Ahmed Bola Tinubu. He further expressed confidence in the IYCF's capacity to oversee the election process, having personally mobilized more than 200 members of the association for the purpose of sensitization and election monitoring across the various local government areas.

The support from IYCF underscores the significance of Governor Hope Uzodima's leadership in fostering political stability and progress in the South-Eastern states of Nigeria.
