Eze Aro-In-Council Announces Crowning of Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei as The Current And 9th Eze Of Arochukwu Kingdom

In a significant development, the Eze Aro-In-Council, representing the Arochukwu Kingdom, officially announces the traditional crowning of Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke Nnachi as the new Eze Aro. This momentous occasion was presided over by His Royal Highness Eze Dr. Kanu Nwa Kanu, Eze Ibom Isii of Arochukwu Kingdom.

The crowning ceremony took place with great reverence and tradition, in the presence of Umu Otusi Aro, a testament to the community's unity in this important decision.

The newly crowned Eze Aro, Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei, embarked on a ceremonial journey following his crowning. He was led by Inyankpe (Ekpe Aro) to the Royal Palace of Eze Eze Agwu na Okwara Agwu in Amannagwu. There, he was received and accepted with a Seven Gun Salute, as dictated by custom. This symbolic gesture reaffirmed his role as the custodian of Arochukwu's heritage.

Subsequently, Eze Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei proceeded to Ogo Amaikpe Aro, the cultural ground of Arochukwu. Here, he was received by Acting Eze Ezi Nde Akwaeke and Deputy President-General of Obinkita Progressive Union, Mazi Okoronkwo Uwa. This marked full compliance with the customs and traditions of Arochukwu Kingdom, signifying his acceptance by the Aro community.

The Eze Aro-In-Council takes this opportunity to inform Umu Aro worldwide and the general public of these significant developments. The newly crowned Eze has received the blessings and approval of the three kindred in Arochukwu Kingdom, reinforcing his role as a unifying figure in the community.

The Eze Aro-In-Council expresses its gratitude and extends appreciation to all who have supported and participated in this important transition, emphasizing that it marks a new chapter in the history of Arochukwu Kingdom.
